Woman died after asbestos exposure at Bradford firm in 1970s

A BRADFORD woman who made fire surrounds containing asbestos in the 1970s has died from industrial disease caused by the poisonous substance, an inquest has heard. Lily Gorrod, 82, of Woodland Grove, Heaton , only worked Trinity Box in Longside Road, for 15 months, but it was long enough for her to be exposed to asbestos stored there for manufacturing.
