Although it has been decades since asbestos-containing materials were commonly used in residential, commercial, and institutional properties, dangers due to exposure to these materials continue today. Last month the U.S. Office of Special Counsel sent a letter to President Barack Obama and Congress detailing what was found after a whistleblower claimed asbestos violations at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital.
