The US Environmental Protection Agency’s internal watchdog has found that the agency’s costly and time-consuming experiments on alternative asbestos control methods lacked effective oversight and threatened human health. In a recent report , EPA’s Office of Inspector General concluded that the agency didn’t conduct the research under a controlled process to ensure oversight.
