Doctors have been warned to remain vigilant about checking a patient’s history of exposure to asbestos to ensure they do not confuse symptoms of asbestos- related diseases with other conditions. A report published today in the Medical Journal of Australia says clinicians need to be aware of the possibility of asbestos exposure, with a third wave emerging of people being affected by asbestos-related diseases.
