Alarmingly, survival rates for five of 24 cancers – bladder, thyroid, Hodgkin lymphoma, testicular and mesothelioma – have got worse in the past 12 months But survival rates over five years for bladder, thyroid, Hodgkin lymphoma, testicular and mesothelioma fell, the Office for National Statistics says. But in addition to the historical data, the ONS has for the first time produced predictions of survival rates for those diagnosed with cancer in 2013 over a one-year and five-year period.
