A handbook for people affected by an asbestos-related cancer is being launched in advance of the 20th anniversary of a landmark legal case involving a Leeds woman. It was April 2, 1996, when the legal proceedings started by June Hancock came to an end and she was awarded a five figure sum in compensation.
