Beachwood schools will pay $2.9 million to renovate the Beachwood High School auditorium, which was gutted after crews found asbestos while working on another project last year. The district wrapped up a $35.6 million overhaul at the school in 2013, when they found asbestos, a toxic chemical frequently found in insulating materials used in old buildings.
