Questions are set to be asked of the Geological Survey Department following reports that they had given permission to the British Bases on the island to dump asbestos material in the Amiantos area of Troodos. According to Phileleftheros, permission was given by the Geological Survey Department despite Agriculture Minister Nicos Kouyialis reportedly being unaware that a request had even been made by the British Sovereign Bases Area .
