Environmental testing has found no detectable levels of asbestos around a former factory in Melbourne’s west, despite an increase in local mesothelioma cases. An independent hygienist, overseen by Environment Protection Authority Victoria, was commissioned to test levels at at the factory and surrounding sites to see if there were any links to the increased cancer cases.
