Frances Hamilton died in Barry on May 31 after being diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma – a rare form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Cardiff Coroner’s Court heard that Mrs Hamilton had been diagnosed with the disease in July last year, after visiting her GP with a cough.
