A civil jury trial with millions of dollars at stake has gotten underway for a former Mare Island Naval Shipyard tradesman dying of cancer caused by breathing asbestos dust. The asbestos lawsuit is one of more than two dozen asbestos lawsuits filed in recent years pending settlement of trial.
