Earley woman died from asbestos disease – but source remains a mystery

A 73-year-old Earley woman died from mesothelioma – but it was a mystery where she came to inhale the asbestos which caused it. Coroner Peter Bedford said she had died from the disease but was unable to record the verdict that the death of Sheila Smith, of Crescent Road, was from an industrial disease.
