The Minnesota Department of Health says 21 new cases of mesothelioma have been identified in former northeastern Minnesota mine workers, bringing the total number of cases to 101. The cases of the rare cancer have been found in workers who were employed in Minnesota’s iron mining industry between the 1930s and 1982.
