21 new cases of mesothelioma found in mine worker group

Twenty-one cases of mesothelioma have been identified in a group of 69,000 mine workers who have been studied since the late 1990’s. Eighty cases have been reported by other workers, all of whom were employed in the iron mining industry between the 1930’s and 1982 across the Iron Range.
